The Prairie Centre Area North Stars boys' hockey team earned a 5-0 shut out win over Fairmont in the opening round of the Minnehaha Academy tournament in Minneapolis on Thursday.
Now 7-4 overall, the North Stars face the host Redhawks (6-3) in the tournament championship today at 7 p.m.
Also today, the Mainstreeters girls' basketball team competes at the Pierz tournament at 8 p.m., while the M-SC Fusion boys' swimming and diving team is at the Brainerd Invitational (1 p.m.).
