Streeter girls' tennis, volleyball both win conference matches

At Montevideo tonight, the Mainstreeters girls' tennis team won a hard-fought 5-2 match over the Thunderhawks. Coach Jarvi reported that three of the five wins came in three-set extra-session battles. Up next: the Alexandria Quadrangular that includes Class 2A Coon Rapids, Crookston and the host Cardinals.

On the home court tonight, the Mainstreeters volleyball team swept past a struggling Minnewaska Area team to improve to 2-0 in the West Central Conference standings. Up next: a road match in Morris next Tuesday with another conference battle against the Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta Tigers.

Stay tuned for more updates.
