Sauk Centre track and field competes at Melrose Early Bird Invitational

It was a cold meet!

Below, the finish of the 1600 meter Run, won by Maren Greenwaldt...

One of the handoffs in the 4x100 meter relay...

I was only able to scribble down a few results at the meet. The temperature was around 45 degrees with a windchill of around 20 degrees. Can you say COLD! It's April 14 for crying out loud. I'd love to have spring come back!

Jacob Gerhartz won the 1600 run with a time of 5:01. Macy Weller won the long jump with a best jump of 14'9". Madison Greenwaldt won the 800 run with a time of 2:36.

More will follow on Friday. Be sure to check out next week's Sauk Centre Herald's April 19 issue to read more on tonight's Melrose Early Bird track and field invitational.
