Last night against Quad County in a West Central Conference dual meet, the Sauk Centre-Melrose wrestling team lost 39-28.

Fusion, Mainstreeter boys' hoops both win tough battles tonight

Final in boys' basketball: Sauk Centre 73, Albany Area 61.

At Hutchinson, the Melrose-Sauk Centre Fusion boys' swimming and diving team won 96-90.

Girls' basketball wins at Benson, M-SC Fusion cooled off by Sartell

Sartell-St. Stephen won 104-74 in a non-conference boys' swimming and diving dual meet against Melrose-Sauk Centre on Tuesday night. The Fusion team is next in action at Hutchinson for a dual on Friday.

At Benson, the Mainstreeters girls' basketball team won 77-54 for the team's sixth straight win. The Braves fell to 6-12 with the loss. Sauk Centre is 16-1 overall and hosts Atwater-Cosmos-Grove City this Friday in a West Central Conference game.

Mainstreeter boys have an early lead at Osakis

The Sauk Centre boys' basketball team holds a 16-5 lead early in the first half at Osakis tonight. *At halftime: Sauk Centre 48, Osakis 18.

Final: Sauk Centre 71, Osakis 32. The Mainstreeters are 10-4 on the year. The B-squad team won 60 to 20 in one of the preliminary games.

On the home floor tonight, the Mainstreeters girls' basketball team defeated Minnewaska Area 54 to 25 in West Central North Conference action. Macy Weller with 11 points and Elizabeth Ellens with 10 led Sauk Centre (15-1) in the win.
