Streeter netters clinch at least share of conference title

The Sauk Centre volleyball team beat Milaca 3-0 tonight to clinch at least a share of the West Central North Conference title. Not sure yet how Albany has fared against Cathedral, but of the Huskies lose, Sauk would win the title outright. If the Huskies win, Sauk would tie for the conference crown, although the Streeters would represent the North in the North/South match Monday at BOLD. That's because Sauk defeated Albany in their only match up this season.

Kali Peschel led the Streeters with 10 kills tonight and Shelby Deters added seven. Peschel also had five blocks. Krista Primus and Kendra Zenzen had five digs each and jena Klaphake had 15 assists.

The Streeters ended their regular season 10-2 in the WCC and 22-5 overall. They host their first playoff game next Thursday in Sauk against Staples-Motley. The Cardinals lost tonight to Browerville 3-0.

Congratulations to the girls on winning the conference! Lets hope they can keep it going all the way to state!
