Hintzen is conference meet medalist at Foley

Senior Laura Hintzen earned medalist honors at the West Central North Conference meet held in Foley on Thursday. She shot a 40 on the par-36 nine-hole course. As a team, the Mainstreeters girls' golfers placed second with a score of 188. St. Cloud Cathedral won the meet with a 178.

Sauk Centre girls' track and field team wins Dave Sieben Invite in Melrose, boys are runners-up

Blogging host site was down for maintenance last night - updates to come today

The Mainstreeters fastpitch team lost 3-0 to Albany on Thursday in a conference and sub-section match up.

The Mainstreeters baseball team lost at Albany 12-0 in five innings.

Also dealing with Youtube issues, as I am currently unable to edit the details on uploads or add tag words.

The Mainstreeters softball team is now 9-6 overall, 8-6 in the West Central North Conference. They are jockeying for either a #4 or #5 seed in Sub-Section 6AA-West. The sub-section seeding will be held next week on Wednesday. Playoffs open on Friday, May 20.

Melrose Area hosts Dick Sieben track and field invitational on Thursday

The Sauk Centre Mainstreeters track and field will compete at the annual Dick Sieben Invite in Melrose on Thursday. The meet begins at 3:45 p.m.

Teams included are: Albany, Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, Benson, Browerville, Little Falls, Long Prairie-Grey Eagle, Minnewaska Area, New London-Spicer, Osakis, Parkers Prairie and Saint John's Prep.

One heat of the 200 open at the Belgrade Lions Invite on May 3... Tom Schwinghamer placed third with a time of 24.6 seconds.

Mainstreeters softball recovers from tough loss to Minnewaska with a double-header sweep over New London-Spicer in conference action

Picking up wins number eight and nine on the season today, the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters softball team defeated New London-Spicer on the home diamond by scores of 6-1 and 8-6. The Wildcats fall to 5-9 overall.

Now 9-5 overall, the Streeters prepare for a tough rematch with Albany at home this Thursday at 5 p.m.

At Green Lake Diamond in Spicer, the Mainstreeters baseball team lost two games in a West Central North Conference double-header by scores of 5-3 and 12-1. The Streeters now travel to Albany on Thursday and host Mora on Friday.

Sauk Centre golf club hosts girls' invitational today

The girls' golf invitational begins at 1 p.m. today at the Sauk Centre Golf Club.

Teams included with the host Mainstreeters are Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, Benson, Kimball Area, Long Prairie-Grey Eagle, Legacy Christian Academy, Melrose Area, Osakis and St. Cloud Cathedral.

The Sauk Centre Mainstreeters baseball team is at Green Lake Diamonds in Spicer for a conference double-header with New London-Spicer. First pitch for game one is at 5 p.m.

The Mainstreeters boys' golf team is at a West Central North Conference meet at Long Prairie at 5 p.m.

The Mainstreeters track and field teams are at the Section 5A true team meet at A-C-GC High School in Grove City at 4:30 p.m.

More action from last Thursday's baseball and softball wins over Melrose Area

Streeters softball is cooled off by Minnewaska Area

Winners of five in a row coming into today's non-conference game at Minnewaska Area, the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters softball team lost 12-4 to the Lakers (14-1).

Both teams are in Sub-Section 6AA-West.

The Streeters (7-5) held a 4-2 lead after four and a half innings were complete, when Jena Klaphake hit a two-out, two-RBI single. They now prepare to host New London-Spicer tomorrow at 4 p.m. in a key sub-section double-header with the Wildcats (5-7).

NL-S, like Minnewaska Area, is also in Sub-Section 6AA-West.
