Brett Favre made history tonight

By Bryan Zollman

Brett Favre had the ball on the 40-yard line in Saints territory with 30 seconds to play in a tie game. All we needed was a field goal. He rolled out.....15 yards of turf in front of him, all he had to do was run 30 feet and step out of bounds. 30 feet. Thats a third of the way down the baseline in baseball. It's shorter than a trip to the bathroom.
But he decides to throw the ball across the grain....and does exactly the last thing a smart quarterback would ever do in that situation...turn the ball over.
Blame it on the fumbles, blame it on the play calling, blame it on the refs....
We supposedly have the greatest quarterback in the history of the game with the ball in his hand on the oppsoinsg team's 40-yard line with 30 seconds to go and all we need is a field goal and he couldn't get it done.
Brett Favre made history tonight. He proved he is far from being considered amongst the greatest quarterbacks of all time.
