The 200-yard medley relay team of Chad Rueter, Eddie Bosl, Ben Frericks and Gregg Stein helped get the Fusion off to a great start as they finished first in the night's first race with a time of 1:48.74 as the Sauk Centre-Melrose Swim team won the Western Regionals handily with 558 team points.
Team Results: Fusion 558, Dassel-Cokato/Litchfield 377, Montevideo 342, Morris Area 117.
The Fusion will now prepare for sections as they eye the state meet March 4-6.
