Sauk Centre Mainstreeters track and field competes at the Sub-Section 6A-1

The Mainstreeters' track and field teams competed at the University of Minnesota-Morris campus in the sub-section meet today.

Both squads finishes as runners-up at the Sub-Section 6A-1 meet. They advance to the Section 6A meet, set for 10 a.m. June 3 at Minnesota State-Moorhead. At stake are berths into the state championships June 11-12 at Hamline University in St. Paul.

At the Section 6AA golf meet (round 1) on Thursday, the Mainstreeters' girls golf team finished 10th out of 14 teams in a meet held at Territory Golf Course in St.Cloud. One highlight was the performance of junior Laura Hintzen, who advances individually to the section championship round coming next week.
