The Sauk Centre volleyball team won the conference outright  Monday night with a 3-2 win over BOLD.

BOLD were the south champions and Sauk won the north, although technically they finished tied with Albany, but won the tiebreaker by defeating Albany earlier this season.

After falling behind 2-1 in Monday's match, Sauk won the final two games 25-14 and 15-10.
Kali Peschel led the squad with 10 kills. Krista Primus had nine and Macy Weller and Shelby Deters each had six. Peschel also had 10 blocks with Deters chipping in eight and Weller 7. Emily Petermeier also was stellar at the net with four blocks. Jena Klaphake had 18 assists and Lexie Berscheit 17. Primus led with 14 digs and Peschel added 10, giving her a triple-double by volleyball standards. Weller led the squad with three ace serves.

The No. 1 seeded Streeters will take on No. 8 seed Staples-Motley Cardinals Thursday in Sauk in the opening round of sub-section playoffs. Game time is 7 p.m.
