Boys hoop squad dominates in opener

Patrick Knoblauch looks to stop and pop during Friday's action. Knoblauch finished with 24 points seven assists and five rebounds.
The Mainstreeters had quite the offensive output in their first game of the season Friday, beating Wadena-Deer Creek 85-57.

Patrick Knoblauch scored 24 points and Travis Rieland added 19 to lift Sauk to the win.

The Streeters scored 50 points in the first half and led 50-31 heading into the locker room. Both Rieland and Knoblauch got hot from the outside, making some key three-pointers that helped give Sauk the commanding lead.

Junior center Nick Adams also posted a double-double, notching 10 points and 11 rebounds.

The Streeters will take their show on the road Tuesday against Holdingford.

Seth Otte put in some quality minutes in his first year of varsity action.

Travis Rieland finished with a career-high 19 points t help lead the Streeters to the win.
