The playoff road went in different directions for the Mainstreeters softball and baseball teams today.

At Waite Park, the Mainstreeters softball team lost 2-0 to St. Cloud Cathedral to finish 13-8 overall with the most wins since the 1999 season.

On the home diamond, the Mainstreeters baseball team was staring down an 0-1 mark in the playoffs before rallying for an eight-inning 4-3 win over Staples-Motley. They were down 3-0 with two outs in the bottom of the seventh before tying it up 3-3. Sauk Centre plays again on Wednesday at Dick Putz field at 5 p.m. in St. Cloud against St. Cloud Cathedral, the top seed in Sub-Section 6AA-East.
