The Sauk Centre girls basketball team more than doubled up on Melrose tonight with a 71-34 win. Sauk shot the ball 77 times compared to Melrose's 39 times. They dominated in every facet of the game, outrebounding the Lady Dutchmen 41-24. The win improves the Streeters to 5-1 on the season.
The lone bright spot for the Lady Dutchmen was Emily Goerdt's second basket of the game that made her the school's all-time leading scorer, passing Jan Niehaus' total of 1,077.
