The football field's facelift starts to take shape!

The new turn began going down on the football field on Thursday.

Sauk Centre girls' basketball 7th grade wins their division at Sinclair Lewis Days tournament

 Sauk Centre's team won by a 15-12 score in a "defensive battle" according to their coach, Don Peschel.

Sauk Centre 5th grade girls' basketball wins Sinclair Lewis Days division title

The Mainstreeters won the 5th grade division in an exciting 14-13, double overtime win over Eden Valley-Watkins in the championship game.

The Mainstreeters 6th grade team faced Annandale in the championship game. No word yet on the outcome of that game.

Baseball field getting new infield and irrigation

The final touches on a new irrigation system were completed on July 10...  

And on Tuesday night after their meeting, the school board toured part of the construction zone...

Progress continues at athletic field improvements

The border around the new football field has been installed and the tiling work is being wrapped up. The photo below was taken last Thursday, June 28, showing work being done in the northwest corner of the football field...

Polipnick has a great finish at the Class 2A state golf tournament

In the final day of his varsity career as a Mainstreeter, Robby Polipnick fired a 44 and 36 to finish with a 160 at the final day of the Class 2A state golf tournament. His score was good for a 7-way tie for 47th place out of a total of 88 golfers in the field.
