Streeters win!

Terrence Ellis streaks down field in tonight's win. Ellis put together another great night running the ball. The fleet-footed senior scored for Sauk and helped lead them tot heir first win of the 2011 season, a 26-13 win over Minnewaska.
Great job by the Mainstreeters tonight, beating Minnewaska 26-13 for their first win of the season.
Sauk played well on both sides of the ball and got touchdown runs from Terrence Ellis, Patrick Knoblauch and Roosevelt Austin.
Patrick Knoblauch hooked up with Seth Otte for a long pass to lead to Sauk's first TD by Austin, who leads the squad and continues to put up solid numbers.
Otte also had a great diving catch for a Streeter first down and made a nice defensive play to break up a long pass on a Minnewaska threat.
On defense, Sam Fischer, Darin Bushard, Devan Fischer and Pete Sprengeler all came up with big plays for Sauk to keep the Lakers at bay.
A great win for a good group of kids. Hopefully they can carry it over into next week.
Good job Streeters!
We'll get some photos up on the website and check next week's Herald for a game recap.
