The West Central North Conference-leading Sauk Centre Mainstreeters girls tennis team went 2-1 to improve to 13-2 overall on Saturday at the Alexandria Quad.
They split against Class AA teams, losing 7-0 to Alexandria and defeating Moorhead 6-1. Against Crookston, the Streeters won 5-2. Alexandria improves to 9-2 overall after going 3-0 at the Quad.
Up next for the Streeters girls tennis team: a short trip down I-94 to Melrose Area in a conference battle against the Dutchmen on Tuesday, Sept. 14. Melrose Area is 6-5 overall, not including the outcome of their match against LP-GE/USA last Thursday.
