Streeters run at Prairie View in Brooten - Both varsity squads takes fourth - Gerhartz, Kluver take 1, 2 spots in boys race

The Mainstreeters cross country teams ran at the Jaguar Invitational at the Prairie View Community Golf Course in Brooten. With wet and cool conditions, there was no threat of heat exhaustion.


Albany won both the boys and girls varsity races for the second year in a row.

Sauk Centre's Jacob Gerhartz, a junior, was champion in the boys race (16:54) with teammate Mike Kluver, a senior, only seconds behind him (17:03, runner-up) at the finish line.

On the girls' varsity side, senior Maren Greenwaldt ran to a third place finish (15:27) while teammate Elizabeth Hemsworth, a junior, finished eighth (16:07) to lead the Mainstreeters in their division.
