Streeters Football is in a big battle at BOLD, holding a 15-9 lead midway through the third quarter

Sauk Centre re-gained the lead in the third quarter on a 12-yard run by Roosevelt Austin and a two-point conversion catch by Collin Denny. They had trailed by a 9-7 margin since earlier in the first quarter.

With two minutes left in the third quarter, BOLD tied the game at 15-15 with a five-yard touchdown run by Alex Steffl, but the PAT was shanked.

It has been one crazy game, with lead changes, costly lost fumbles, and big plays by the Mainstreeters to stay with a high-powered BOLD team.

Read all about the game in the next issue of the Sauk Centre Herald, which will be published on Friday morning and out in the mail routes by Saturday.

Notes on the Sauk Centre girls tennis team...the Mainstreeters girls tennis team defeated New London-Spicer 5-2 on Thursday in their West Central South Conference opener. They are now 9-0 overall (1-0 WCCN) heading into Friday's triangular at Minnewaska Area that also includes Staples-Motley/Verndale.
