In what may be the first-ever meeting of the two schools on the football field, the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters and Osakis Silverstreaks will battle in the Section 6AA quarterfinals on Tuesday night in Osakis with a 6 p.m. kickoff.
The cumulative records of all six teams who were beaten by the Silverstreaks in the regular season is 14-34. Only one of those six teams enters playoffs with a winning record, that being Upsala/Swanville Area at 5-3. The first five opponents that Osakis faced this year totaled a cumulative win/loss record of 9-31.
The final two opponents, who defeated Osakis by a cumulative score of 83-21, enter playoffs with a cumulative win/loss record of 15-1. Those teams are Barnesville (8-0) and Browerville (7-1).
In week seven, visiting Barnesville defeated Osakis 41-0. Five days later, Browerville won in Osakis 42-21.
