Streeters baseball suffers one-run loss at Milaca
The Sauk Centre Mainstreeters baseball team lost a conference game at Milaca on Friday by a 4-3 score.
The Streeters host Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa in a border battle on Monday at 4 p.m.

Mainstreeters softball playoff opener is postponed

Mainstreeters baseball puts up valiant effort vs. ranked St. Cloud Cathedral - Hintzen is co-medalist at WCCN meet
In a final score from the MAC in St. Cloud, the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters baseball team lost 3-0 to Cathedral High School in a West Central North Conference game.
Senior Laura Hintzen earned co-medalist honors at New London today in a West Central North Conference meet. Hintzen shot a 41 to tie Kelsey Ocendorf of St. Cloud Cathdral for top individual honors. Her strong leadership this spring led the Mainstreeters girls' golf team to a third place finish in the nine-team WCCN.

Mainstreeters get #5 seed for upcoming softball playoffs
In the upcoming Sub-Section 6AA-West softball playoffs, the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters received the #5 seed out of eight teams. The Mainstreeters take a winning record into the playoffs for the first time since 2007, when they were 8-7 after the regular season was complete.
This year, their opponent will be Paynesville Area, who is seeded number four. The Bulldogs will host Sauk Centre this Friday, May 20, at 5 p.m.

Mora takes two from the Mainstreeters softball team and one from Streeters baseball
Final scores from action today: (Softball) Mora 7, Sauk Centre 0 and Mora 8, Sauk Centre 7. (Baseball) Mora 13, Sauk Centre 4.
The Mora Mustangs softball team is ranked #11 in the latest Class AA coaches poll released on May 17. Albany's softball team is ranked #14.
In the latest baseball coaches poll, the Mora Mustangs are ranked 18th out of 126 Class AA teams. Osakis was ranked #14 out of 150 Class A teams in the May 12 coaches poll.
This is pretty awesome...the Mainstreeters softball team clinched sole possession of third place in the conference with their 3-1 win over LP-GE on Monday. The Streeters finished the league schedule 9-7. It's their best finish in the conference since the early 2000s.

Mainstreeters baseball, softball teams both win on the diamonds today
Action from Osakis today in a baseball border battle...
Today's win guarantees the Mainstreeters their first winning regular season since 2007. That year, they went 8-7 heading into playoffs, where they bowed out in the first round in a 4-3 loss to Staples-Motley.
Tomorrow the Streeters travel to Mora for a double-header.
Also tomorrow, the Mainstreeters track and field teams will compete at the West Central North Conference meet in Milaca. The meet begins at 3:30 p.m.

In a come-from-behind effort, the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters baseball team used a seventh-inning rally to overcome Osakis today in a non-conference border battle. The Streeters plated four runs in the top of the seventh to win 10-8.Today on the home diamond, the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters defeated Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 3-1 to improve to 10-7 overall on the season and 9-7 in the West Central North Conference.
