The Mainstreeter boys' track and field team earned 82 team points to take second place at last night's Sub-Section 6A-1 meet in Morris. The girls' team from Sauk Centre tied Minnewaska Area for fourth place with 67 team points.

Baseball playoff opener is postponed
Due to the rain, the playoff opener will be next Tuesday, May 29 at 5 p.m. at the Sauk Centre baseball diamond. The semifinal round is the next day (May 30) at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud at 5 p.m.
The sub-section track and field meet still took place, and a few highlights from that will be posted here on Friday. Stay tuned!

Sub-Section 6A-1 track and field meet is tonight in Morris
Barring postponement due to rain, the Sub-Section 6A-1 track and field meet is tonight at the University of Minnesota-Morris. Field events begin at 4 p.m., with racing to follow beginning at 4:45 p.m. Any announcements related to postponement of the event will take place at 2 p.m. today. The fallback date is tomorrow (Friday) at the same time and location.

Streeters baseball team earns series sweep vs. Albany
Final score from the Sauk Centre high school diamond: Sauk Centre 3, Albany 1. The Mainstreeters, who improved to 10-8 overall with the win, went up 2-0 in the second inning on a two-RBI double by Dylan Kohorst on two outs. They finished in a tie for third place in the West Central North Conference standings with Melrose Area at 5-5. Paynesville Area clinched sole possession of the conference crown with a 12-4 win over Minnewaska Area tonight. Albany (11-9 overall) finished in second place alone at 6-4.

Two Mainstreeters earn All-Conference golf honors
After the final West Central North Conference boys' golf meet was held on Thursday, the final conference standings showed two Sauk Centre Mainstreeters in the top-10, thereby earning All-Conference honors. Senior Robbie Polipnick earned fifth place overall, while freshmen Carter Kranz was tied for 10th place. Their team is set to host a five-team meet at the Sauk Centre Golf Club on Monday beginning at 1 p.m. Teams included are Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa, Melrose Area, Paynesville Area, Minnewaska Area and the Mainstreeters.
