The Sauk Centre Mainstreeters cross country teams competed at the Section 6A meet today at New London-Spicer's Little Crow Golf Course.

As a team, the boys' squad finished 20th out of 25 teams with 548 points; they were led by Riley Primus's finish of 78th place (19:02.7). The girls' squad finished 12th out of 23 teams and was led by a 23rd-place finish by Kelli Lewis (16:46.17).

Playoff opener
At Minnewaska Area, the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters football team lost 38-22 to the third-seeded Lakers in the Section 5-2A quarterfinals tonight. The Mainstreeters led 22-8 at halftime but faded in the second half.
The Lakers (5-4) tied the game up before the third quarter ended at 22-22 and then poured it on in the fourth quarter to advance to face second-seeded BOLD on Saturday in the semifinal round.
