The Mainstreeters girls' basketball team will play Osakis at 6 p.m. in Collegeville on Saturday, March 8 in the Sub-Section 6AA-North semifinals.
Melrose Area and top-seeded Staples-Motley meet in the other semifinal game earlier in the day.
If Sauk Centre beats Osakis, they play in the sub-section championship game next Tuesday in Collegeville. The Mainstreeters have played in the last five sub-section title games dating back to 2009. That year was the last time they lost in the sub-section championship game, when New London-Spicer beat them 51-29. Since then, they've amassed a great deal of section and state tournament hardware.
Hopefully there's more to come this year!

Streeters down 27-14 at half
The Mainstreeters are off to a slow start against rival Melrose tonight in the first half of their sub-section final match up at St. John's University.
Melrose went on a 9-0 run to start the first half and leads 27-14 as teams headed into the locker room.
Sauk has struggled from the floor despite getting some good looks from in close. Seth Otte is the lone Streeter who has been able to consistently make baskets with seven points.
Meanwhile, the Dutchmen have had a balanced attack and have been solid from three-point range. Seth Noll got them going with a three-pointer set the tone and Ben Klaphake has hit two threes to help get them out to the lead.
We'll see what the second half has in store. Sauk will have to start making shots if they want to make a game of this.
