The Mainstreeters sit in a large group of teams who are "receiving votes" below the Top 20 state rankings for Class 2A baseball. The list was just released by the A.P. earlier today.
Sauk Centre had a great season last year, improving greatly on a 3-17 mark from 2011 by finishing 11-9 overall. They won their playoff opener in dramatic fashion on the home diamond 3-2 over Pequot Lakes in a 10-inning game. It was their first playoff win since 2007.
It is highly unlikely their season will start any time soon. Stay tuned.
