Adam Polipnick tossed a complete-game 4-hitter in a 5-1 non-conference win over Minnewaska Friday. Polipnick struck out six and walked five and also drove in two runs to help the cause.
Shane Trattles had two hits, an RBI and a run scored to lead the offense. The Streeters knocked out eight hits, a season high. Derek Holm, Tyler Berling, Polipnick, David Moe, Nick Hinnenkamp and Shay Mieczkowski also had hits.
The JV squad also won, 6-0 and the C squad tied their game 5-5 after nine innings.
The Streeters will play Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Monday. LP-GE defeated Melrose 6-4 Friday.

Mainstreeters' baseball earns a 5-1 win at Minnewaska Area tonight - Fastpitch softball drops 7-1 game to visiting Minnewaska in non-conference action
The Sauk Centre Mainstreeters baseball team picked up their third win of the season at Minnewaska tonight.
Meanwhile, in a home game, the Mainstreeters fastpitch team lost 7-1 to a very solid Minnewaska team. They had an early 1-0 lead after two innings, then suffered a blow when the Lakers plated five unanswered runs in the fourth inning.
Minnewaska Area's fastpitch improved to 8-2 overall with the win.

In golf action, the Mainstreeters' girls golf team took sixth place at the 11-team New London-Spicer Invite today at the Little Crow Country Club. Their top four scorecard brought a score of 431 on the 18-hole course.
Junior Laura Hintzen led the Mainstreeters, finishing as runner-up individually and losing to the medalist (Erin Dingmann of Kimball/Eden Valley-Watkins) by only two strokes.
