The Mainstreeters golf teams are sending two athletes to next week's Class 2A state golf meet.
Junior Carter Kranz fired a 79 today in the Section 6AA finals to earn a spot from the boys' team; freshmen Morgan Kranz had a huge drop from 93 on Monday while shooting an 80 today and advance to state from the girls' squad.
The Class 2A state golf meet is on June 10-11 at the Sand Creek golf course in Jordan.

Section 6AA golf updates
Freshmen Morgan Kranz shot a 93 today in the first round of the Section 6AA girls' golf tournament, which sends her into the section finals round coming tomorrow. The tournament is hosted at Blackberry Ridge Golf Course in rural Sartell.
As a team, the Mainstreeters girls' golf team shot a 467 to take ninth place out of 13 teams.
The top four teams advance to the section finals. Staples-Motley has a razor-thin lead over second-place Osakis by a 348 to 350-shot margin. Rocori is in third place with a 361, while Becker is in fourth with a 362.
**Update: Carter Kranz's score of 77 qualified him for the Section 6AA finals today at Blackberry Ridge in Sartell. Kranz was the top scorer on teams who didn't advance to the Final Four round.
The top four teams included Staples-Motley (319), St. Cloud Cathedral (334), Becker (347) and Little Falls (348). Sauk Centre's team score was 368, including scores of 98 from both Tommy Traeger and Charlie Barhorst, a 95 from Jake Kluver, a 106 from Ted Uphus and a 116 from Dylan Bentfield.
