As expected the Sauk Centre girls were awarded the top seed Wednesday for the upcoming sub-section playoffs which begin next Thursday.
Because Sauk is the top seed they will receive a first round bye because there are only seven teams in the sub-section. St. John's Prep opted out of the playoffs leaving seven teams remaining.
New London-Spicer, as expected, received the second seed.
The seedings are as follows:
1. Sauk Centre (23-1)
2. New London-Spicer (23-2)
3. Albany (16-7)
4. Holdingford (14-10)
5. Melrose (10-12)
6. Pierz (9-15)
7. Paynesville (1-21)
Quarterfinals are begin next Thursday, March 4 at the high seed.

Pierz @ Albany
Melrose @ Holdingford
Sauk Centre will play the winner of Holdingford/Melrose Saturday, March 6 at 6 p.m. at St. John's University. The winner of the Paynesville/NL-S game and Pierz Albany game will be played immediately following the Sauk game.
The sub-section finals are Tuesday, March 9 at St. John's University. The Section final will be played Friday, March 12 @ 6:30 p.m. at St. Cloud State University.
