On Monday this week, the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters girls tennis team hosted Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta in a non-conference dual meet and blanked the Tigers in a 7-0 shut out win.
The Mainstreeters, who improved to 8-0 on the young season with the win (and it's not even September yet!), had their number one singles player, senior Laura Hintzen, improve to 8-0 as well. The number-three doubles duo of Mariah Rieland and Kathryn Macey improved to 6-0, while their number three singles player, Carissa Rodenbiker, moved to 7-0 with a win against MA/CA.
This week the Mainstreeters traveled to Minnewaska Area for a non-conference dual against a perennial strong Section 6A team, the Lakers, on Tuesday.
On Thursday this week, September 2, the Mainstreeters host a strong New-London Spicer Wildcats team in a West Central North Conference dual that begins at 10:00am.
Finally, on Friday this week the Mainstreeters host a triangular that also includes Staples-Motley and Minnewaska Area.
Plenty of opportunities for you to come out and see one of the best girls tennis teams in the area this week, your Sauk Centre Mainstreeters.
