The Mainstreeters boys basketball team has dropped two in a row now in conference play and sits 15-7 overall and 9-5 in the league. The loss was on the Dutchmen home floor, always a tough place to play.
Sauk Centre looks to rebound this Friday night, when they host New London-Spicer in a key sub-section battle. Whoever wins that game will have the inside track at the #1 seed in Sub-Section 6AA-East.
Come out and cheer on your Mainstreeters to a big win over the conference rival Wildcats!
In their final regular season game, the Mainstreeter girls basketball team defeated Melrose Area on the home court 69-38. They are 24-1 overall, marking the most wins in a regular season for girls basketball at Sauk Centre High School. In the West Central North Conference, the Streeter girls won the title outright with a 16-0 record. This is the first year in Sauk Centre girls basketball history that they have gone unbeaten in conference play. Last year, they went 15-1 in the league and shared the crown with New London-Spicer.
Melrose Area takes a 12-11 overall record into the sub-section playoffs. They went 6-10 in the West Central North Conference, good for sixth place.
