Winners of five in a row coming into today's non-conference game at Minnewaska Area, the Sauk Centre Mainstreeters softball team lost 12-4 to the Lakers (14-1).
Both teams are in Sub-Section 6AA-West.
The Streeters (7-5) held a 4-2 lead after four and a half innings were complete, when Jena Klaphake hit a two-out, two-RBI single. They now prepare to host New London-Spicer tomorrow at 4 p.m. in a key sub-section double-header with the Wildcats (5-7).
NL-S, like Minnewaska Area, is also in Sub-Section 6AA-West.
