Don't miss an article in this week's Sauk Centre Herald sports section highlighting senior Macy Weller's re-write of the Mainstreeter volleyball career kill record. Against A-C-GC last Thursday, Weller surpassed Shanna (Schmiesing) Bergh's school record of 968 kills. Weller now has well over a thousand kills in her career. Bergh is a 2006 graduate of Sauk Centre high school and competed on the first two volleyball teams led by current head coach Jim Klaphake.
The Sauk Centre volleyball team travels to Olivia next Monday night for a 7 p.m. match against BOLD in the West Central North/South division playoffs.
Sub-Section 6AA-North playoffs begin on Friday, Oct. 26 with a home contest at 7 p.m. against 8th-seeded Little Falls. Albany got the number two seed.
