The Sauk Centre Mainstreeters volleyball team won in three games at Melrose tonight 25-20, 25-22, 25-16 while improving to 7-0 in the West Central North Conference standings. The Dutchmen were trying to move into a tie for first place tonight, but they now sit at 5-2 (2nd) with three matches remaining.
The Mainstreeters swimming and diving team defeated Staples-Motley in a home dual. I don't have a final score yet.
The Mainstreeters girls' tennis team defeated section rival Pierz 7-0 in a home match today. The Mainstreeters will take a 14-7 overall record into next week's Section 6A playoffs.
At the home cross country meet at the Sauk Centre Golf Club, senior Jacob Gerhartz won the boys' race with a time of 16:52. Albany won both the boys' and girls' divisions.

In girls' tennis action, Osakis edged Melrose Area 4-3 for the second time of the season. The Silverstreaks most likely will be the #1 seed in Section 6A, with Melrose following at #2.
