The Sauk Centre Mainstreeters continued their dream season with a 3-1 win over St. Croix Lutheran (29-3) while improving to 32-0 overall.
Game scores were 25-4, 22-25, 25-18, 25-18, with the Mainstreeters volleyball team advancing to the Class 2A Final Four round where they'll face Caledonia in the semifinal round. The next match is at 7 p.m. on Friday night at the Xcel Energy Center.
Marshall Area and Belle Plaine, the number one and four seeds, respectively, will battle in the other Class 2A semifinal bracket.
In related news, Sauk Centre senior Macy Weller earned All-State volleyball honors at the State Volleyball banquet on Wednesday night. She is one of eight athletes in Class 2A in Minnesota to receive the honor. Weller powered the offense tonight against the Crusaders with 33 kills.
