BOLD's senior running back Zach Remillard has burned up the field to the tune of 23 carries and 168 rushing yards with a five-yard touchdown to boot.
The Warriors have opened up a diverse running attack to counter Sauk Centre's passing game.
BOLD's third-year quarterback Kyle Athmann has gone 7-of-8 in passing for 87 yards.
Sauk Centre's wingbacks Terrance Ellis and Roosevelt Austin have rushed for 53 and 22 yards, respectively. Both have punched in touchdown carries to account for the Mainstreeters' scoring.
Interesting fact: BOLD won the Class B state title in 1991 and finished as Class B runners-up in 1992.
**Second half update...BOLD punched in another touchdown with 3:15 left in the third quarter. It's now 33-14 in favor of the Warriors.
With 6:23 left in the game, the BOLD Warriors had punched in their 7th touchdown of the night. They lead 47-14.
Final score: BOLD 54, Sauk Centre 14. The leading rusher for the Warriors was Zach Remillard, who piled up 204 yards on the ground on 34 carries.
In week two of the regular season, the Mainstreeters will host Montevideo for their West Central North Conference opener on Friday, September 9 at O'Gara Field. Kickoff is at 7 p.m.
Montevideo opens their season on Friday night (Sept. 2) with a home game against neighboring rival Lac qui Parle Valley.
